What is Rejuran?
Rejuran is a concentrated polynucleotide gel derived from wild salmon sperm DNA. These polynucleotides, present naturally in our skin, are essential for cellular-level skin remodelling.
By injecting polynucleotides, we aim to trigger the skin’s natural regenerative process. It’s why Rejuran is often called ‘baby skin injections.’
Salmon sperm DNA is specifically chosen for its high nucleic acid content. It is also quite close in structure to human DNA. Technicians extract DNA strands from salmon and fragment it into polydeoxyribonucleotide (PDRN). These purified PDRN complexes are then formulated into Rejuran polynucleotides.
The polynucleotides in Rejuran aim to promote skin cell renewal and stimulate collagen production.
Where can Rejuran be used?
Subject to a consultation Rejuran may be used to address scarring, inflammation, rosacea, and concerns such as fine lines, laxity, and roughness. It is typically injected into the dermis of the face, neck, hands, or décolletage. But it is not limited to these areas, and can be used in most areas of the face, neck and body depending on your suitability.
By stimulating natural collagen production, Rejuran aims to increase skin density and elasticity, repair damaged skin cells, and optimise your skin’s texture and firmness.
Around the eye area, Rejuran also has uses. It may cause general skin tightening and collagen stimulation, helping to firm, hydrate, and brighten the delicate skin.
What are the different types of Rejuran?
There are three different formulations of Rejuran.
Rejuran Eyes (Rejuran I) is designed to treat the delicate skin around your eyes, with the aim of reducing fine lines, increasing elasticity, and treating pigmentation.
Rejuran Scars (Rejuran S) treats visible scars resulting from acne, trauma, and other causes. It aims to promote skin healing, soften scars, and smooth texture.
Rejuran healer (Rejuran H) is the versatile ‘all-round’ product, that is used for general concerns.

Before injection, the skin is cleaned and numbed.
Once numb, Rejuran is typically placed just beneath the skin’s surface using tiny needles or a blunt cannula.
When using a needle technique, each treatment consists of multiple tiny injections with very small needles.
Tiny deposits of Rejuran are placed just beneath the skin across the planned treatment area which resolve within hours to days, depending on the type of product.
Where a blunt-tipped cannula is used, there are far fewer injections and no skin blebs.
The amount of Rejuran required for your treatment depends on the area, and specific concerns. Average volumes of Rejuran based on area are:
- 1-2 mL around the eyes
- 3-4 mL for full face treatments
- 2 mL for the neck
You will need to remove your makeup before arriving at your appointment.
Initial clinical photos are taken, and numbing gel may be applied to the treatment area.
One of our clinicians will then carefully inject Rejuran just beneath the surface of your skin.
Rejuran treatments typically take 10-20 minutes depending on the extent of your treatment.

Rejuran is not recommended for people with a known salmon allergy.
Common side effects of Rejuran include slight redness and tenderness. Rare risks include infection and allergic reaction.
