So, now that you’ve undergone bra bulge fat reduction with bra fat injections, you’ll want to ensure that you achieve the best result.

Here at Cosmetic Connection, we believe that patient education is one of the most important parts of your treatment journey. While the procedure may be minor and non-surgical, it is vital that you know how to make the most of your treatment by carefully adhering to the aftercare instructions for your bra bulge fat reduction.

Following the bra bulge fat reduction aftercare is an effective way to achieve a great result with a low chance of side effects.

What should I avoid after a bra bulge fat reduction with bra fat injections?

For the first 24 hours after bra fat injections, you should avoid:

    • Intense exercise
    • Excessive alcohol
    • Smoking

For the first 7 days after your treatment, you should avoid:

    • Wearing tight clothing and touching the skin of the treated area.

How to reduce swelling after bra fat injections

Here are some great ways you can minimise any swelling from your bra fat injections:

    • Avoid hot environments until the swelling has resolved. This includes hot showers, saunas and sitting out in the sun.
    • You can take an antihistamine on the day of your treatment, as long as you are medically suitable.
    • Avoid touching, scratching or picking at the skin of the skin of the treated area.
    • Gently apply a wrapped ice pack intermittently (10 minutes on, 10 minutes off) for the first 4 hours after your bra fat injections.

How to reduce bruising after bra fat injections

If you are worried about bruising from bra fat injections, consider following these steps:

    • Avoid excessive alcohol for 24 hours
    • Avoid intense exercise for the first day
    • Gently apply a wrapped cold pack intermittently for the first few hours after your bra bulge fat reduction (be careful not to apply any pressure).

What to expect in the first few months after a bra bulge fat reduction with bra fat injections

You need to wait 8 weeks before you can enjoy the final result from your bra fat injections.

In the first few days, there may be some mild swelling and tenderness. The skin may also feel both firm and numb to touch. Slight lumps and bumps under the skin are completely normal, and are reflective of the broken-down fat cells. The final result should be visible 8 weeks after your procedure when the swelling fully subsides and the treated fat cells have been processed by the body.

Most people will need at least 2 sessions of bra fat injections to see a result. Those with larger volumes of fat, or with more fibrous, thicker fat will generally need more treatments.

One of the best parts about bra bulge fat reduction injections is that the broken down fat cells don’t return. If you gain weight in the future, the area may fill out somewhat, but often significantly less than if you never underwent the treatment.

Are there any side effects with bra fat injections?

All cosmetic medical procedures have potential side effects.

When performed with skill, caution and care, a bra bulge fat reduction is categorised as a low-risk procedure. You can reduce the risk of side effects by following proper bra fat injection aftercare.

While it is unlikely, some bra bulge fat injection side effects that you may experience include:

    • Skin redness that will gradually improve in the first few days.
    • Bruising which has about a 5-10% risk.
    • Swelling, numbness and firmness of the skin which will generally resolve over the first 1-2 weeks.

If you ever notice any rashes or skin discolouration after bra fat injections, it is important that you get in touch with us for an assessment. You can send a photo of your concerns using our contact form.

Why is bra bulge fat reduction aftercare important?

No matter if it’s your first bra fat injection treatment or your fifth, following the bra fat injection aftercare is very important.

Following these aftercare instructions for bra bulge fat reduction is the best way to care for the treated area, reduce the chance of side effects and get the most out of your treatment.

While these aftercare steps may seem minor and trivial, not following them may compromise your result.

We want you to achieve the best result possible and love your new look, so please, take care.

Bra bulge fat reduction with bra fat injections

Here at Cosmetic Connection, bra bulge fat reduction is one of our most popular treatments, and a favourite among our clinical team.

It is a great option to permanently reduce stubborn, unsightly bra bulge fat. If you have a bulge of fat either at the front or the back of your bra line that doesn’t shift with diet and exercise then you may want to consider this treatment.

You may occasionally see the bra bulge fat reduction being referred to as bra fat dissolving injections. This is because fat dissolving injections are the primary product used in the procedure. Fat dissolving injections permanently break down bra fat cells, reducing the size of your bra bulge.

Check out our comprehensive bra bulge fat reduction treatment page for more information on this procedure.
